•Mike cofounded and financed Change the World Social Venture Consulting Program at the University of Maryland; a platform for students to apply their skills in designing scalable solutions for nonprofit and social enterprise organizations. CTW graduated over 400 students from its innovative program, and worked to help more than 120 non-profit organizations, in cooperation with several other top university business schools.
•His most notable charity project was Grassroots.org (501c3) which provided a variety of free services and tools to thousands of other 501c3 charities for about ten years. Eventually larger organizations were able to provide greater scale and efficiency offering similar services.
•Mike realized he could serve charity even better by building businesses, so he could hire people and donate more time and money to select causes.
